![]() ![]() Some of my portable mp3 players sort tracks in albums (folders) in alphabetical order. After getting used to it, it works great. If File Explorer suggested by SpywareDr does not satisfy you, you can try free software 'Renamer'. But, they look much better with appropriate names. Bunch of numbers as a file name keep photos in order. I've taken to numbering them 'by hand', just to make sure I get them as I want them, but it takes ages, as you can imagine! Would Bulk Rename Utility do this, please? Or is there any other free software that would renumber my photos and keep them in the right order? I really want something that will re-number my photos in correct chronological order. I have (sort of!) successfully used 'Power Rename', part of the 'Microsoft Powertoys' suite, in the past, only it often reorders my photos, so the first one I took is not numbered '1', but a much later photo is. What I want to be able to do is number photos in a folder, so if I have 400 photos in a folder I would want it to number them from 1 (or 001) to 400.
